We had invited Senators Shaheen and Hassan and Representative Pappas to this event, but they have chosen not to attend. From communications with their offices, they seem to have considered our invitation, however, it's clear that they have prioritized other engagements as more important than meeting with the voters that elected them. Perhaps their busy courting donors instead.
Our Representative DON'T Have Time for Our Silly Shit!
Our goal for this Town Hall had been to connect with our elected officials, to hear about how they are fighting for us in DC, and to ask them to address the many issues that are keeping us up all night. We'd hope to speak with them, in person, to learn what they are working on and what we could do to empower them. But they've made it clear that we are of little importance to them. However, as the saying goes, "the show must go on", so we'll make this event important, meaningful and productive. We'll show our elected officials how hard WE are working to save our democracy, and maybe, just maybe, they'll take the nudge and really put some effort into fighting for us.

With or without them, there is a lot to talk about, so Our Town Hall will go on as planned!
While we'll have great programming and discussion. Our Town Hall will begin with discussion from those in attendance, as to how we feel our elected officials are serving us.
In addition to speakers & presenters, we'll have an open forum, and we invite you to jot down a few notes about any of the horrendous battlefronts we find ourselves facing every single day. You may have a question you'd like to ask, seeking answers or advice from others in attendance. Perhaps you have some insight or expertise to share. Or maybe a strategy or initiative to present that can help our group, and others, move the ball forward.
